So sorry I have been missing in action for a couple of weekends! We've been rather busy. Labor Day weekend we took a little drive down to Virginia Beach to visit my really good friend Julie and her fun family. We had an awesome time. They took us to the boardwalk, the beach, and the naval base lighthouse. They cooked amazing meals for us. We indulged in Brusters ice cream, played games, and talked talked talked. Their kids wore Ty out :). It was so fun!

An engineering feat and pretty impressive. Also, they should have called it a bridge-tunnel-bridge-tunnel-bridge because that's what it really did...but bridge-tunnel is okay too. |

| We also visited the lighthouse at Virginia Beach. It was on a military base, which meant it was pretty strict access. They searched our car, then let us pass. |

Best of all, I got to spend more time with Julie and her family. It was so fun to re-connect and spend time with my good friend. I can't believe it had been almost a year since we had seen one another. Now that we know they live in such a fun place, though, we may be crashing at their house more often! Thanks, Julie, for an absolutely great weekend!
Looks like you had such a fun weekend. I still cannot get over how beautiful and awesome you are. I'm glad you're my older sister :) We can't wait to see you guys in October
